Both Shores teams victorious to open Speedo Cup bracket play.

The Shores 14u boys team jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first two minutes of the game and never looked back, beating Houston handily 18-2.

The 14u girls faced La Jolla in a game that ended with Shores on top 9-5.

Shores took an early lead in the game and played from the front the entire game. After taking a 5-3 lead into halftime, the Shores offense came out in the second half on fire, taking an 8-3 lead and giving all of the reserve players an opportunity for some time in the pool.

La Jolla whittled the lead to 8-5, but a late goal by San Diego brought the final tally to 9-5.

Each team will close out bracket play at 7:10 EST tonight.
